FAQ
Do I pay any money in advance?
No, you don’t have to pay anything until you have received a bid and accepted it.
Do I have to accept the cheapest bid?
No. You have the choice which bid you choose. It might not be the cheapest but the might offer a service more suited to your needs and have a more positive feedback.
How quick will my parcel be delivered?
Depending on what you put on your package details. If you ask for next day, it will be delivered the next day, but in many cases a package will be delivered on the same day without any extra cost.
Will my item be insured?
This depends on what you put on when listing your parcel on the column it asks whether you require insurance.
Can I track my parcel on line?
This depends on what details you put on when listing your parcel and if you ticked the on line tracking system. Therefore only companies with this system will bid for your parcel.
Do I have to pay if I don’t accept any bids?
No, you don’t pay anything until you accept a bid.
What if when the driver wants to deliver there is no one to take the parcel?
This is your responsibility to ensure that there is someone to receive the parcel. The driver will have your contact number and he will ring you in advance to inform you of the time he will be there. You have to make arrangements with your neighbour or somebody who can take the delivery as otherwise it will cost you more and delay the delivery of the parcel as most delivery companies bid will be based on one pick-up and one drop-off only.
What if my parcel is lost or not received?
Delivery companies will provide you with a proof of delivery. In case the delivery company fail to provide proof of delivery we will have insurance in place up to certain limits. However you will have had to tick the insurance column at the time of listing your parcel.
What if I am not in when the delivery company come to pick up the parcel?
Delivery companies will contact you about the time of pick up and therefore it is your responsibility to be there when they come to pick otherwise you will end up paying more to send the item. This also defeats the object of the green issue as some driver will be making the same journey again.
Can I pay online?
Yes you can by credit card or debit card. We have a very safe online payment system.
What if I don’t get any bids?
You have nothing to loose as you can re-list the item as a different set of journeys will be taking place or you can send the parcel the traditional way.
